Happy Sunday gang! Hope you are having a lovely one. I've been to Birmingham this weekend, and now I am using Will being out of the house dropping his niece at uni as an excuse to buy things for my next homeware DIY attempt he would not approve of. Mwahaha. Enough of the cackling, 9 lovely and 3 mildly bad things from September:
3 things I bought
1. A mid century concrete planter £55 from Next
2. This peony pleated red maxi dress £104 in the sale from Finery London. It is over £100, doesn't even fit me round the boobs but I am going to change my body to fit the dress (or you know if that doesn't work take it to tailor) it is that fabulous.
3. A full English breakfast served in fresh sourdough roll aka "Breakfast in Bread" £14 from the Barge House in Haggerston
3 things on the interweb
1. Gommie's Instagram account - @myofflinecommunityofone - and general being. Writing maybe the most romantic poems of the 21st century
2. Hope not hate , an anti-fascist group that goes undercover in communities vulnerable to alt-right ideologies, fixes problems and challenges fascist ideas. Pretty deep for a Sunday afternoon on a blog where I just linked to a delicious breakfast but that is just how I roll.
3. I couldn't choose between these 2 rofls galore Man Repeller articles this month, so here is a link to both: You get 10 chances to answer a missed text AND How Kylie Jenner will probably announce her pregnancy. And yes, you've read that correctly, I've gone from anti fascism to Kardashian in one fell swoop. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ And yes right again. I just googled how to do that.3 things in the world
1. 60 years of planet earth with my mother on it. Happy birthday Mum!
2. Will has gone off socialising and having fun without me countless times this month (including right now), and I didn't cry and fall apart in my own company. For me, this is a result.
3. New beginnings. And that is all I can say right now, but it is not that I am pregnant/getting married/buying a new house/adopting a cat so deduce what you will.
3 slightly bad things which should never be shared on the internet but I am going to
1. I ate a whole £$ packet of salted caramel florentines from M&S in one sitting. Like one half an hour sitting. And even more worryingly, me typing this is just making me want to do it again.
2. When I am not instagram bragging about the cool places I am hanging out at, I like people to envisage I am at home, maybe going for a run, meditating or you know, snuggled up with a herbal tea/homemade hot chocolate and a good book or Netflix box set. But this month I have been horribly addicted to PS4 Crash Bandicoot N Sane trilogy and have played it so much I have lost - as well as hours of my life - some skin on my thumb. It has also led to my house being in disarray which leads me to
3. I haven't cleaned my bathroom for 3 weeks. Typing that I realise how disgusting I am. Today is the day I promise. (I have said that every day for the last 2 weeks tho so...)
And 9 nice things to look forward to in October
1. A holiday! To Cinque Terre in Italia. With 3 of my best baes.
2. WOOL. Wool jumpers, wool dresses, wool everything. Hashtag wool time, has returned.
3. And also... tis the season of black opaque tights and ankle boots. I swear I look like a stone lighter in Autumn and winter (no one correct me).
4. The Autumn colour palette tho. October world, you looking fine.
5. It is hot chocolate time again! And soup! Don't forgot soup.
6. Halloween - also known as the holiday where you just get to eat loads of chocolate, and watch scary films, and light lots of candles. Fan-bloody-tastic. How are you celebrating - Psycho screening at the top of the Shard anyone?
7. PUMPKIN SPICE EVERYTHING. Think I might just get a bottle of this because I am that much of a basic bitch.
8. After spending all of a Saturday a couple of weeks ago, and devising a list of 25 fabulous coats, think I am gonna spend my October money on maybe the nicest one of all (which didn't even make the list) This mustard mohair blend unstructured coat from Mango
9. It's London Cocktail week next week. Hurrah!
PS. Did I say exactly the same thing about October last year? Hopefully this year's list shows my extra 365 days of maturity.
